Cheap Chicas

So this morning I was watching to Nate Berkus Show!....YEA! I was, I actually love his shows. If you dont  know who Nate Berkus is, first off, he's a really really good looking man (haha), and second he's a huge interior designer who first started off at the Oprah Show, surprise surprise!

Well, on his show today he had a fabolous stylist, Lilliana Vazquez who helped a viewer put together almost 30 looks by using 8 new items! AMAZING! how so few basic pieces in your wardrobe can create so many looks. Some items were, basic buttoned down shirt, a coloured flat, stripes, and a scarf that can always be worn 100 different ways!

Take a look:

Colour-B l o c k i n g

A Colour-ful trend for summer. Mixing and matching colours. Not one, or two, but three or four. That compliment each other. Dont go overboard with it. If your afraid to try this, try one or two colours first and gradually add another colour that complements it, it could be earring, a purse, a belt.
Its the little things that make a big difference.

Gucci and Jil Sander did it the best this season!

Loubs! Did it up tooo! Of course.

Haider Ackermann

A brilliant designer.
Here are some pictures from his S/S 2011 Collection, I didnt have the opportunity to put it up early, but since the Fall 2011 just came out, I thought why not combine them into a single post. This way you get to witness the brilliant work this man puts into his collections!

The fabric and details are truly thoughtful, and brilliant.

Here is his Fall 2011 collection:

Chino or Flared?

This summer's new pant trend or possibly one of the few trends.

Flared: I'm sure we all remember the classic bell-bottoms. But for 2011 they have added a modern twist to them, nothing too extravagant or crazy, maybe a bit tighter/fitted, high-waisted, not super flared out, unless you like that, and they come in a variety of colours!

(some of these picture represent the wide legged trouser, which is somewhat similar to the flared.)

Chino:What are Chino's? To me it looks like a mesh between the skinny, harem with a bit of track pant feel combined; usually the chino is loose fitting on top and gradually tapers into the leg as it approaches the ankles.
However, the Chino was originally used in British and French military uniforms in the mid-1800s. Weird, how clothing, such as the Chino was used as a part of a uniform and today it's a staple piece for summer.

(Couldn't find good pictures of the Chino, as I hoped.)

Which one do you prefer/like?

Black Swan

Recently the famous Anna Della Russo was inspired:

And what, or who do you think inspired her look, well it was none other than Oscar winner- Natalie Portman, in Black Swan.

Style File: K- Dash

But this time its Kourtney.  I know some time back I had posted pictures of Kim, but when randomly looking at pictures today, I realised that I like Kourtney's style way better.

Her style is more causal, conservative -yet sexy- she usual wear black nylon with her dresses or skirts, boho, relaxed. She is very different from her sister Kim, in dressing, I assume its because she is also older?
Kim usually goes for the safe tight figure-fitting dresses- I mean who wouldn't she has a hot bod, we can't forget her favourite brand of shoes...Loubs. She doesnt really try anything to crazy. She sticks to her classic, and her famous- jeans and blazer look when shopping around town.

However, to me, Kourtney definitely tries to be different from the rest of them. And that is probably what stood. Also, it could be possible that I watch their reality show... WAY to much.
